How Lessons Work
One-to-one and online via Zoom, built around a shared interactive whiteboard that allows real-time work and teaching
Focused Start
Each lessons opens with a quick check-in on what’s coming up - any tricky topics, deadlines etc. - so the lesson targets exactly what matter most to the student.
Collabarative Teaching
Working on a shared whiteboard allows the demonstration of methods step-by-step, then handing over to the student to work through similar problems with guidance, just like in the classroom. Equations, diagrams, graphs all present and interactable on the board.
Independent Work
Each lesson will include some time for independent work to allow the student to tackle a question on their own while correction happens in real time - building confidence and further reinforcing subject content.
Lasting Record
The whiteboard from each lesson is saved and shared with the student, providing an organised record of everything for the student to use for future revision.
Real Exam Practice
Exam-board topic questions and past papers are brought directly onto the whiteboard, allowing students to to apply knowledge with respect to a markscheme, reinforcing and improving exam technique.
Clear Next Steps
Lessons always close with a focused piece of follow-up practice to reinforce what was learned. Additionally, a short time at the end of the lesson is always taken to review and discuss the plan for the next lesson to maintain momentum. Any work is uploaded to a shared Google drive to allow the student to revise from at any time !
